What's great in Europe is the diversity. That's what really marks us out.

And what's really important about European music is getting it to circulate

much more widely than it's done before, and giving people greater access to it,

and giving artists from across Europe the opportunity.

My core prize is the idea that by giving visibility, they raise awareness

of these artists in the industry, among festival organisers, and among the public.

That concept is great, because it rewards people at the stage where they need

that kind of exposure. And the other thing that it does is that it's quite useful
