Good afternoon, class.
Welcome back to our second part in our series
on investigating the nerve bundles,
particularly in the feet.
I've found another student volunteer.
He's a volunteer.
He's fine.
He's here voluntarily.
I have signed paperwork.
It looks quite a bit less impressed
than on our previous volunteer.
Note the musculature around the feet.
And note the immediate response, simply.
From touching with my fingertip, I'm finding it very difficult
to hold him still, attuned to his nervous system.
With no warning whatsoever, we notice a spasm from one side.
To the other.
What does this tell us, class?
Anybody, anybody to touch causes spasms in the subject.
He appears to be having difficulty breathing.
Perhaps we can relax him by removing his socks.
There. Does that feel better?
He loves it.
Whereas I only touch with the sock on foot, we do receive a spasm.
However, when we go to the foot with no sock, he goes directly into convulsions
and has no control over his breathing, his muscle response.
Anybody, anybody?
We are releasing endorphins in his brain.
To make him calm and relaxed.
However, the slightest touch and he feels and experiences an adrenaline rush,
which takes him in.
We are arousing him.
