What do you model?
My mother wanted me to model when I was young.
She sent me to modeling school.
Really pushed me.
She got me my first agent.
And the next thing I knew I was in catalogs.
I just kind of went with the flow.
It all kind of just happened.
One day you're a ***,
and the next you wake up
and you find yourself a professional model.
But it's a career, so, you know, you push it.
Photographers that have worked with you
say you're not like other models.
What do you think they mean by this?
And do you consciously try to give them something different?
I guess because I try and give myself to whatever it is I'm shooting.
I pull things out of my head and I just throw it out there.
Photos of you modeling suggest that you almost work against your looks.
Expressing emotions of anger, even violence.
Rather than the more traditional passive
consonants of other fashion models.
Why is this?
Maybe it's because for years I was so passive about modeling.
I was basically pushed into it.
Molded to fit a certain image.
Now maybe I'm letting some of that anger come out through my posing.
What aspects of your work do you dislike?
Um, it's a really cutthroat industry, you know?
There's a thousand girls who are always prettier than you.
