Then we'll be sanding it down while it's clamped together because I want the center piece to be flat and the outer edges a little bit rounded.

Then we'll be cutting a hole in the center here.

Okay I've clamped the pieces together and I've marked off one inch from each end and

halfway down and I'm going to be drilling a hole quarter inch in the

drill press both pieces at the same time.

Next I'll be clamping them together and using a 60 grit orbit sander

orbit sander with 60 grit sandpaper on it

to rough this out. Then I'm going to coat it with epoxy to make it a little stronger.

Then we're going to cut out our opening for the hole.

Okay I've got them both bored out. These are carriage bolts about three inches

long so it'll fit nicely through both pieces and still have room to clamp them

together. I'm gonna enlarge the outer holes so it slips on a little easier until we

get it sanded down. This is gonna create a lot of noise so I'm gonna start sanding and

come back to you when I have it all sanded down.
